WHAT ARE THE RESULTS WHICH
CAN BE REACHED FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF HEALTH AND HYGIENE
WITH THE USE OF PCHS®?
A HIGHER QUALITY OF LIFE.
IN HOSPITALS THERE ARE PATIENTS WHO NEED GREATER SUPERVISION
OF THEIR HEALTH THROUGH EFFECTIVE PREVENTIVE ACTIONS.
a reduction down to 96% of germs in the environment
preservation of potentially pathogenic microbial charge at low and stable levels over time, according to the Indicators of Microbiological Quality (I.Q.M.)**
rescheduling of the microbial ecosystem with the abatement of resistances
REDUCTION OF RESISTANCE GENES IN “SAN-ICA” RESEARCH HOSPITALS
Reduction of antibiotic resistance genes in the surface microbiota of hospitals treated with PCHS®. The top graph shows the types of genes most represented in all the hospitals included in the study. The bottom graph shows the reduction of such genes following the introduction of the PCHS® sanitisation system. Results expressed as percentage reduction (%) in the PCHS® phase compared to pre-PCHS® phase (PCHS® vs pre-PCHS)®, (log fold change >1).
WHAT DOES PCHS® DO, IN PRACTICE?
PCHS® counteracts the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria, stabilising the potentially pathogenic load at low levels, thereby improving the microbial ecosystem
Reduces the transmission of nosocomial infections
PATHOGENIC CONTAMINATION REDUCTION IN SAN-ICA RESEARCH HOSPITALS
Surface contamination. Pathogenic load on hospital surfaces, expressed in CFU/m2: Staphylococcal spp., Enterobacteriaceae spp., Acinetobacter spp., Candida spp., Pseudomonas spp., Clostridium spp.. Results expressed as percentage reduction (%) in the PCHS® phase compared to pre-PCHS® phase (PCHS® vs pre-PCHS®).
